Mrs. Lois
Principal
Mrs. Lois founded and established Joyous Town to serve her community since 2015. She has more than a decade of experience working with young children and holds a State ECE certificate. Watching children learn, grow and be successful are her passion. You will find her trying new recipes, spending time with family and friends and exploring nature during her spare time.
Ms. Ghislaine
Administrator
Ms. Ghislaine graduated from the University of Washington with bachelor degrees in Computer Science and Early Childhood & Family Studies. She has years of experience babysitting and working in licensed childcare facilities. She enjoys trying new restaurants and traveling around the world.
Mrs. Joyce
Pre-K Lead Teacher
Mrs. Joyce moved to the States from Malaysia. She has worked with children for the past 30 years. She received her MIA (Montessori Institute of America) diploma in Kent, Washington. She balances learning through play, free choice, and academic work. Her goal is to build a solid foundation for all the children in her care.
Mrs. Mae
Waddler Lead Teacher
Mrs. Mae was born in the Philippines and moved to the United States in 2019. She started teaching the little ones in 2020 and found it to be her calling. She enjoys cooking and catching up with her family. She also likes to play with her two puppies during her free time!
Mrs. Wenjie
Toddler Lead Teacher
Mrs. Wenjie came from China. She graduated from University of Wisconsin with a Bachelor of Interior Architecture and a minor in Early Childhood Sciences. In her free time, she likes to play board games and spending time with her family.
Ms. Lien
Infant Lead Teacher
Ms. Lien grew up in Vietnam and moved to United States when she was seven. She is fluent in Vietnamese, English, and can understand a little bit of Japanese. She has a year of experience working with infants, as well as other ages. She likes to spend time with her families on holidays as well as singing during her free time.
Mrs. Roya
Assistant Teacher
Mrs. Roya is a mother of six. She moved to the United States from Afghanistan in 2015. She has experience working with all ages from infants through PreK. She is currently working towards her Early Childhood Initial certificate. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
Mrs. Esther
Assistant Teacher
Mrs. Esther was a former nurse and has transitioned into child care because of her interest in child development. She has been volunteering at Sunday school for over a year. In her free time, she enjoys spending her time with her family and her dog. She recently just picked up a hobby of baking new recipes!
Ms. Monica
Morning Opener/Floater
Ms. Monica started her journey in early childhood education when she lived in Florida in 2013. Since then, she has worked with ages ranging from infants up to kindergarten. She has worked in traditional preschool settings, in home programs and also in Montessori. In her free time, she enjoys taking long walks, reading and cooking!
Mrs. HaiZhen (Nainai)
Chef/ Floater
Mrs. Haizhen, as everyone calls her "Nainai" which means grandma in Mandarin. She is retired and enjoy helping at centers in her free time. She has previously volunteered at a preschool in Bellevue as a chef. The children love her and you will see them greet Nainai with smiles and hugs each morning!
Mrs. Taoran
Art & Mandarin Teacher
Mrs. Taoran graduated with Fine Arts Teaching degree in China. She has 7 years of experience in teaching arts to young children, as well as 8 years of experience in early childhood.
